Our Garment Technology teams work hard to ensure the quality of our Next product is always of the highest standard. Working alongside the Designers, Buyers, Merchandisers and Fabric Technologists.
Your role
Travelling to factories along with developing and elevating quality is key here at Next within the Menswear team. Working across Mens product we are looking for someone with a great knowledge of garment construction. Innovation is what we strive for here at Next and this fantastic area offers up some great opportunities for this. Working with suppliers and reviewing garment developments and setting and reviewing standards is a key part of the role. Working as an important support to the buying and design team, you will help to guide any decisions in line with the legal requirements and within Next guidelines.
About you
As a confident team player; you will have great people and love to work collaboratively but also using your own skill set. Using your extensive technical experience & exceptional eye for technical detail, you will be working on a great department . Utilising your qualifications & experience within the higher level of garment technology; you will communicate effectively within a multi functional team. You’ll be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of multi fabrications including performance knowledge. You will have experience within a fast paced supplier, retailer or brand. Having experience in developing assistants or trainee level garment technologists will be advantageous.
