Financial Analyst, Columbus - Full Time (2810)
Job Overview:
Reporting to the Manager of Finance this individual will be a key point of contact for providing financial reporting, Procurement of supplies, staffing and productivity tracking and analysis for a specific location or locations. The Financial Analyst will be called upon to utilize a high level of proficiency in systems and databases to create queries and ad-hoc reports for senior management. Performs other duties as assigned
- Essential Functions:
- Keep track and replenish building supplies through direct communication with our vendors and/or Macy’s Central Purchasing
- Monitor Kronos timecard missed punches for Warehouse Associates - make changes as necessary
- Prepare standard financial and productivity reports on a weekly basis and during each planning cycle
- Provide accounting accruals and prepaid entries
- Manage accounts payables and receivables
- Assist in budget planning and weekly forecast updates
- Conduct analysis for process improvements
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors in Finance or Accounting with or up to 1 year Financial/Accounting experience.
- Knowledge in Excel, Microsoft Access and reporting tools.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and
- procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
- Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Reasoning Ability:
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands:
- May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Other Skills:
- Detail oriented and excellent follow up.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Proven history of thriving in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Work Hours:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs.
