Program Manager Cloud Hosting Solutions (RVO2)

If you are a Project Management professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in one of our Cloud Hosting Solutions team locations, you will be managing projects for our RVO2 (Remote Virtual Office 2) organization.  RVO2 is an infrastructure designed to allow our project engineering services team to configure and test Emerson products prior to installing the configuration on a customer system at a customer site.  The RVO2 infrastructure is hosted in global data centers and consists of servers, networking components and various software products.  It is accessible to Emerson project engineering services team members, contractors, and customers via the Emerson network.  

 

AS THE CLOUD HOSTING SOLUTIONS PROGRAM MANAGER, YOU WILL: 

  • Ensure the timely and successful completion of various improvement and enhancement projects.
  • Coordinate between the various stakeholders in the Emerson organization (Project Operations, IT, etc.), vendors (Dell, VMware, etc.), and across the world areas to execute the successful implementation and support of the Cloud Hosting Solutions data centers.
  • Manage and give direction to the 3 Cloud Hosting Solutions Technical Architects; organize additional resourcing when required.
  • Work closely with the Director of Cloud Hosting Solutions to create yearly project budgets by developing estimates with the help of other Emerson teams and vendors.  Develop Appropriate Requests and Purchase Orders for required spending. Track project costs against budget.
  • Become the main contact for key vendors, including managing vendor licenses and portals.
  • Define continuous improvement projects and translate these into actions for the Cloud Hosting Solutions Technical Architects. Coordinate the prioritization of projects and actions by gathering input from other Cloud Hosting Solutions management.
  • Define project plans, milestone schedules and resource plans for each project. Initiate, follow up and report progress on ongoing projects.
  • Operate within the Emerson and Cloud Hosting Solutions standards for cybersecurity, information protection, loss prevention, and ethics.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • University or BS degree.
  • Experience with process automation projects or IT-related projects.
  • Experience with all aspects of project management and delivery.
  • Excellent in English communication (written and verbal).
  • This job could involve some global travel.

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  

  • Experience with IT data center infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Some technical knowledge of virtualization (VMware), servers, networking, and data center operations preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
