The Opportunity:
The Centre for Population Health Sciences at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for an experienced senior clinician to join the team as Programme Director for the MSc Critical Care.
The MSc in Critical Care programme provides postgraduate education to healthcare providers working with critically ill adults. It is a part-time online programme with students attending from all over the world. The Programme Director will be a senior clinician working in the field of adult critical care with significant experience of academic critical care and leadership of postgraduate education. They will lead the Clinical and Academic aspects of the programme, ensuring excellence, and alignment with both the programme and University of Edinburgh Vision.
The Programme Director will be based within the Usher Institute under the line management of the Chair of Critical Care who is also the Co-Director of Acute Care Edinburgh. This alignment is strategically important to ensure continued interaction and contribution from senior academics and subject matter experts from within the Critical Care research community in Edinburgh.
The post is part-time (0.2FTE / 8 hours per week). The role will be based at the Usher Building at Edinburgh Bioquarter, and flexible / hybrid working will be permitted.

Your skills and attributes for success:
• You are an ICU consultant or other senior clinician working in Critical Care
• You have a passion for postgraduate medical education
• You have experience of postgraduate education and academic practice in critical care
• You are a good leader
