Junior Work Preparator- Electrical
Key Accountabilities:
• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Follow and comply to information Security Rules and data security measures in order to protect the company information / intellectual properties. Day- to-day operations:
• Booking and registering of all works received in Electrical Workshop, assigning workshop planning and controls.
• Opening and maintaining an active file, recording, alteration and deletions.
• Producing sketches and instruction describing work to be carried out.
• Producing sketches with details dimensions and instructions to enable all work of a programme to be carried out.
• Control of completed works checking of conformity issuing of delivery notes, dispatching and gate passes.
• Exercise discipline at the work site to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness.
• Liaise with other discipline foremen / supervision to ensure the optimum utilization of available resources, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project.
• Create progress reports on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to the supervisor i.e. resource shortfalls, surplus, HSEQ concerns.
• Assist the senior foreman and supervisors in planning activities.
• Ensure that the workers are properly supplied with machineries, tools, equipment and materials and everything is in proper order and state of maintenance.
• Perform inspections to ensure that the workers performance is up to the set standards.
• Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work
Experience / Qualification & Skills:
- Familiar with electrical schematic diagrams & other related drawings.
- Diploma in Electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Autocad 2000, Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechanical drawings and diagrams.
