The role

The STP Tribe is looking for a Delivery Lead who, in the context on the EUI Transformation, will drive the Communication Modernisation initiatives. They will drive a Project Management resource pool, retaining the ultimate responsibility of the team to meet the objectives in terms of quality, time and budget while handling the associated risks.

The role requires a mix of team leadership proficiencies, knowledge of industry standard project management techniques. A sound understanding of both the business strategy & issues, and of the technical challenges and dependencies faced by the initiatives under their responsibility will be a key success factor.

This is an outstanding opportunity to be at the forefront of the modernisation of our current IT platform, playing a key role in driving the implementation of innovative communication solutions applying new technologies and highest security standards to deliver customer-focused service enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple Epics/Projects of varying complexity involving teams across different locations, divisions & entities, including third-party suppliers, and multiple disciplines in the IT function
• Thanks to a clear understanding of the solutions, their impact and dependencies to the general ecosystem and other initiatives in the roadmap, proactively identify risks, define, drive and track the required actions to mitigate them or resolve issues, demonstrating both business and technical partners in order to ensure that the projects goals and requirements are met
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and forecasts, including resource allocation, costs, and dependencies, ensuring that the team’s overall resources are used effectively to meet the projects objectives and deadlines, supervising progress and performance against the plan
• Handle change control processes. Where required, challenge and negotiate changes in project specifications or scope with the project business and IT partners, using the support of business or technical domain experts
• Regularly report progress at all levels of the organisation, including senior management, partners and sponsor/business collaborators.
• Participate to the Communication Modernisation management team decision making process, convincingly presenting the initiatives statuses and challenges and proposing the best course of actions
• Ensure Epics/projects adhere to Euroclear’s internal standards and methodologies.
• Lead improvement initiatives and acting as the primary connection between project sponsors/clients and IT services.

• Solid project management skills, combined with a broad knowledge of both the Euroclear business and its technical environment
• Ability to quickly grasp impacts and dependencies when discussing with both business and technical collaborators and to keep an eye on the bigger picture, to dive into the details only where required
• Approachable standout colleague with strong leadership skills, capable of delegating while maintaining overall control and driving tasks to completion and of providing constructive feedback that leads to positive change
• Superb communication skills across all levels of the organisation and capacity to quickly grasp, synthetise and simply present sophisticated information
• Effective negotiation, conflict management and influencing skills, assertiveness and ability to lead challenging internal and external collaborators
• Driven and able to function with limited direction, focused and organised, able to remain positive in the face of challenge or under pressure
• At ease in a fast changing environment, flexible and able to swiftly reprioritize tasks, a practical leader capable of handling various subjects simultaneously
• Demonstrable experience in optimally leading end-to-end or cross-platform IT functional projects exceeding 5,000 person-days, involving teams of at least 30 individuals and outsourcing partners, is preferred. Experience in the Financial sector and/or in the Communication domain is an asset, as are Prince2, PMI or similar IT delivery framework certifications.
