Job Description: Come work in the Journalism, Public Relations, & New Media Department and support two researchers on their research project examining the Latino/Hispanic community in Waco.
This project will consist of two phases and we would like to have a student assistant(s) for both the fall 2024 and spring 2025 semesters.
Qualifications:
You must be a full-time student at Baylor (undergraduate or graduate)
Have an interest in the Latino/Hispanic community of Waco
Proficiency in Spanish language is highly preferred but not required
Duties include:
Assist project investigators with background research
Help contact local organizations and community leaders to assist with participant recruiting
Help oversee scheduling and planning of project phases, note-taking, and data collection
Assist researchers with various administrative duties

- Provide general office assistance and support
- Greet clients and visitors with excellent customer service; answer inquiries and provide information
- Maintain files and reports and ensure confidentiality of information
- Assist with various projects, activities or tasks as needed
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
