An opportunity has arisen to join The University of Edinburgh catering department as a Junior Sous chef. The role will be based at our newest catering unit; Canopy Kitchen & Courtyard with Edinburgh Futures Institute at Edinburgh’s old royal infirmary building. This much-loved historic building has been carefully renovated, extended and upgraded to form a major interdisciplinary institute, the largest of its kind in the UK. We are looking to recruit a Junior Sous chef to help lead our food team within this exciting new venue.
Canopy Kitchen & Courtyard is a modern 60 cover restaurant and a busy food to go outlet featuring seasonal on trend exciting food.
As a sous chef, you will assist the head chef in leading the kitchen team in the efficient delivery of our food offer to our students, staff and external guests throughout the year.
