CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE:
To active implement and to ensure the activities are implmentted properly for the activities of the Infant and Young child Feeding & BSFP distribution in Sittwe Rakhine in close collaboration with community health workers and mother to mother support groups, caregivers groups and community. This programs aim to reduce health risk factors among vulnerable population in targeted communities through WASH, Health and Nutrition in Rakhine State. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Budget Responsibilities: No Financial Approval
Role Dimensions: Regular contact of basic factual information
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :
• Assist to Project Assistant in planning of activities with supportive ideas and experiences
• Conduct Mother to Mother Support group & caregivers session in project area
• Implementation of Infant and Young Child Feeding Practice activities
• Make sure for effective counselling activities in camps
• Make sure U5 sick children seeking and referral to health facilities
• Ensure to refer and support Emergency cases dealing with partner organization
• Provide and supervise newborn care visit to newborn mothers
• Monitoring on MUAC screening and identification of malnourished PLWs & BSFP distribution, Supervision of community Nutrition volunteers’ activities
• Assist to Project Assistant in Nutrition Promotion activities in project area
• Provide in supporting of nutrition activities such as one to one coun and supportive actions to volunteers
• Monitoring on Family MUAC activities in camps
• Assist to Supervisors in training provision to volunteers and health staffs
• Sharing of problems solving ways and lessons studies to colleagues
• Assist the supervisor in coordination and cooperation with local authorities and key stakeholders
• Data collection from community health volunteers and records keeping
• Ensure the documentation of project activities and submit to supervisors systematically
• Submit Monthly activities report to supervisor correctly and precisely
• Any other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• Middle school,High school or equivalent education,
• University graduated with any specialization is preferable
• Any working experience in social welfare or business sectors ( Nutrition program experience is more preferable)
• Experience or willing in working at hard to reach/ remote areas with limited resources
• Respect the local culture, belief and tradition and eager to learn from community. Understanding of local dialects is preferable
• Strong commitment and dedication for development of grass root people
• Good team member and willing to work with various type of people
• Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles.
Additional job responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities as set out above are not exhaustive and the role holder may be required to carry out additional duties within reasonableness of their level of skills and experience.
