Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage our contractor and their activities in the shits.
2. Ensure safety in the workplace is followed strictly. 
3. If abnormality in reefer temperature to be immediately reported to concerned Shipping line.
4. Any malfunctioning or defects with reefer container shall be immediately informed to concerned Shipping line.
5. Ensure surveyors monitor and record the temperature of live reefer containers every four hours.
6. On completion of vessel discharge, reconcile import reefer containers placed on power against the vessel import reefer manifest and advise shipping line of any discrepancy.
7. For export reefer units, ensure reefer live set temperature matches with set temperature mentioned in EIR.
8. Ensure Reefer temperature status report is forwarded to the shipping line on daily. 
9. Verify reefer monitoring and complaint register daily.
10. Contact Customers for issues related to reefer containers stacked inside the terminal.
11. PTI activity in the terminal to be monitored very closely and allotment to be made of the reefer container to customers after passing out the PTI test.
12. PTI failed units must be communicated to Shipping Line on daily basis and follow up to be done regularly for the repairs or empty evacuation. 
13. Contribute to the continuous improvement process and to the meeting of business objectives. Undertake all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures assigned by the Asst Manager Planning / Manager Operations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

1. Diploma with good academic background and extensive experience in Shipping / Container Terminal activities.
2. Working Knowledge in refrigeration field.
3. Keyboard skills for data entry.
4. Customer contact skills both face to face and on the telephone
5. Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to receipt and delivery of live reefer containers.
6. Knowledge of and ability to operate computer, telephone system, facsimile and photocopy machines.
7. Knowledge of client, Customs and regulatory requirements.
8. Ability to operate the Terminal Operating System
