Job Purpose

Leading Project Management Office for WCS implementing and maintaining good practices in project management for the organisation. 

Also prepare tenders and offers relating to all mechanical refurbishment projects working closely with electrical project team on design, estimation, planning and execution of such projects. Multi-Tasking ability in a fast paced environment is a key requirement.

 

Key Accountabilities

Responsible for budget sales and segment growth and oversee project management of all WCS projects.

Project Management

• Implement structured project management practices for cost , time and resources tracking
• Enable use of MS project among all WCS engineers in office and on site
• Plan and Schedule all works and oversee the WCS team to comply with PMO requirements
• Provide Training for WCS staff in use of MS project and other project management techniques
• Produce weekly  project status reports with variance tracking
• Review Relevant Reports produced by the team relating to your area of work
• Multi-Tasking in a fast paced environment

Sales, Tender & Offer Bids Preparation

• Prepare offers to clients for project related works
• Prepare Tender submissions for project work WCS wished to bid on working closely with affiliated Suppliers , Contractors & the WCS team

Safety Adherence

• Ensure personal contribution towards safety standards and implementation of safety policies across the WCS team globally acting as both an implementer where necessary and as a guide for others within the team.

WCS Ambassador

• Act as an ambassador of WCS at all times when engaging with clients, suppliers and contractors, ensuring and demonstrating positive behaviour, values and culture of WCS is promoted in all aspects of your work in an ethical manner.

 

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Strong background in project management practices and techniques in heavy industry ideally in Marine port operations and cranes of at least 5 years.
• Crane Design experience would be desirable.
• Excellent Written and Verbal English Language skills.
• Confidence in communication at all levels within an organisation and well developed presentation skills.
