A Domain Architect at Next Technology, is an IT specialist with a focus on the enterprise IT design, implementing complex solutions and offering infrastructure services that support IT strategy, organisational roadmaps and Next Technology Solutions standards.
With a comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure systems they work closely with the Next Architect teams to identify potential technology innovations and make recommendations that support businesses growth and drive efficiencies. Aligning business requirements with Next infrastructure strategy, to develop solutions which fulfil the business needs, reduce capital expenditure, increase organisational efficiency.
About the Role
Cloud architects are responsible for the comprehensive scope of cloud services, developing cloud migration strategies, and advising on the integration of a hybrid cloud architecture with existing cloud services and traditional offerings. They design and tailor the architecture to align with the cloud strategy, ensuring it fulfills the organization`s requirements for scalability, resilience, security, and performance. Collaborating closely with IT teams, they supervise the deployment of cloud solutions to guarantee seamless integration and minimal disruption.
In partnership with stakeholders, such as developers and business executives, cloud architects synchronize cloud strategies with business objectives. They apply established practices for cloud security and maintain adherence to pertinent regulations.
Role Responsibilities
- Contribute to the creation of the platform architecture, cloud strategy, governance and future roadmap to support business objectives.
- Provide oversight of projects to ensure they conform to Next enterprise architecture principles, security standards and non-functional requirements.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of architecture standards, policies and reference architecture patterns.
- Work closely with technical leads and other architects to define technical specifications, providing alternative solutions to business stakeholders for review.
- Strong skills in creating and maintaining technical documentation, especially related to architecture.
- Shares own knowledge and experience and encourages learning and growth.
- Identify opportunities and recommend solutions to improve efficiencies in all aspects of business operations through the use of technology, staying up-to-date on emerging technology trends.
- Support delivery teams with project implementation including assessments, migrations, transformations; ensuring optimal infrastructure deployments and ensuring adherence to agreed requirements, principles and standards
About you
- Exhibit strong leadership and technical leadership skills.
- Experience in managing various stakeholder relationships, the ability to influence and build relationships across technical and business teams.
- A strong communicator, both written and verbal.
- Takes initiative to advance own learning and professional development.
- Deep domain knowledge in Data Center Migration, PaaS, virtualization and VMware, Networking, identity management, Security, Storage, Resiliency, Infrastructure as Code, automation or Hybrid Cloud.
- Experience in cloud adoption framework, Azure Landing Zones, designing architecture, networking, container services, cloud-based solution designs, migrations and a working knowledge of DevOps
- Experience with Azure DevOps & CICD processes, software development lifecycle including infrastructure as code (Terraform)
