Job Details

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to apply for the role of Finance Business Partner. 

You’ll lead and manage a section of the corporate Finance function focusing on delivering consistent, high quality, customer focussed service while providing professional financial management support to a designated Directorate Leadership Team. 

  • Leadership and management: Lead and manage a section of the corporate Finance function providing professional leadership and guidance.
  • Strategic influence: Lead a centre of expertise across the Council using your insights to support and influence both strategic and operational decision making.
  • Directorate support: Provide professional guidance to a designated Directorate to advise on critical business planning assumptions, help navigate trade-offs, identify opportunities and act as an account manager for end to end financial services.
  • Ambassador for the Finance function: Drive delivery of finance initiatives, gaining acceptance from key stakeholders and building strong relationships.

  • Education: Graduate calibre with supporting CCAB professional qualification.
  • Experience: Extensive generalist finance knowledge and expertise across all disciplines.
  • Team Player: Strong team player who can collaborate effectively.
  • Strategic thinker: Experience of developing strategies and translating these into deliverable plans.
  • Consultancy and Facilitation Skills: Able to communicate clearly, influence others and gain credibility.
  • Systems: Proficient IT skills with the ability to optimise technology for continuous improvement.
