Finance Manager
The Opportunity:
Childlight, a global child safety institute, is looking for a Finance Manager to ensure that we meet our regulatory and contractual obligations in how we manage our budgets and report to funders.
You will be responsible for our financial operations and including the preparation of monthly forecasts and reviews, with financial reporting to a variety of stakeholders that includes the Childlight Senior Leadership Team and Steering Board. The responsibilities of the post include ensuring effective and resilient financial processes and controls, taking the lead on financial planning activities, such as annual budget setting and scenario modelling.
This post is fixed term until 30th April 2026 and full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote (within the UK) and regular on-campus working.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Strong accounting knowledge including a full or partial UK accounting qualification
- Experience of financial management of an annual operating budget of £4m+
- Experiences of preparing financial reporting, implementing financial controls and audit procedures
- Experience of gathering, analysing and presenting complex information to a senior audience and non-financial staff
- A passion for making the world a better place and preventing CSEA, improving services and safeguarding children
