*7.am – 9am and 3pm – 6pm.

 

We are looking for a well organised, flexible and reliable person to join our premises team. Reporting to the premises manager you will be responsible for caretaking tasks within the school as well as working as part of the cleaning team. 

Experience in a similar role is preferred, but we are happy to provide training.

 

You will: 

  • have the ability to work constructively as part of a team 
  • have the ability to relate well to children and to adults 
  • have good organising and prioritising skills 
  • have the ability to keep accurate records
  • have the ability to work flexibly to suit school needs
  • have good communication skills 
  • have the ability to use your initiative 
  • be willing to undertake direction and guidance 
  • be ready to work as part of a team 
  • use time effectively to ensure all spaces are ready for learning. 

 

Main responsibilities and duties include:

  • key holder for the school. Locking and unlocking the premises daily 
  • handyperson duties which may include minor repairs to furniture and fixtures 
  • minor decorating tasks
  • completing legal statutory checks including fire alarms, water and temperature checks 
  • taking electricity and water meter readings regularly 
  • emptying bins, accepting deliveries and some cleaning tasks 
  • ensuring the external areas of the school are kept tidy by sweeping leaves, picking up litter and carrying out maintenance when necessary 
  • signing contractors in and out correctly 
  • adhere to the health and safety policy at the school at all times.
