SENIOR MANAGER - ENGINEERING TRAINING

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

  1. Develop dynamic training plans to enhance the skills competency and safety of all staff within in the Engineering department.
  2. Identify areas for improvement and training needs of staff by creating and maintaining the training skill matrix for all job roles.
  3. Maintain stringent control of training budget and ensure training calendar.
  4. Provide agile and dynamic leadership to the Engineering training section, monitoring performance, identify and initiate areas for improvement. 
  5. Implement robust plans for regular training audits and competency.
  6. As line manager for all UAE National Engineering Trainees ensure focus is on their career growth and development.
  7. Monitor effectiveness of all training interventions and measure performances before and after imparting training to identify satisfactory level of knowledge transfer.
  8. Meet regularly with Senior Engineering Management ensuring feedback is captured and tracked and be able to react to any adhoc training requirements. 
  9. Ensure all training activities are carried out in accordance to training policy and that all adult learning methodologies are applied.
  10. Oversee the development of Engineering training material and ensure the suitability and quality of material is in line with DP World standards of best practice.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

  1. Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with DP World’s Our Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
  2. Ensure to eliminate/reduce the chance or risks of any type of incident/injury/fatality and damage to DPW/customer property and environment by guiding operations team and third party staff to follow HSE rules and regulations, report incidents and non-conformances and take immediate corrective actions.
  3. Ensure commitments and compliance to Information Security Policies in terms of implementation and monitoring of Information Security Management system in your department in line with the Information Security Regulation (ISR) policy.
