We currently have around 500 students aged between 11 and 16 years and we are committed to ensuring that we provide an inspiring and challenging learning experience based around high-quality, evidence led teaching. We have traditional student values and are proud of our excellent pastoral care, guidance and support.
Our school is firmly built upon a strong and positive community ethos of mutual respect and high standards for all. We aim to create brilliant young people who work hard, respect others and value the community around them. It is an exciting time to be joining the school, as we continue to build on our previous success which was recognised in our last inspection where we were rated as ‘Good’ in all aspects.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and motivated scientist. The curriculum leader role would suit both experienced leaders and those looking to make the step up to running a department.
We are looking for a hard-working, talented person with high standards and the ability to communicate and interact effectively with both adults and children. First and foremost, you will be an excellent science teacher and have an unwavering passion for your subject. You will have a clear focus and understanding of what makes high quality teaching and learning and provide excellent outcomes for students. You will have experience teaching Science at both KS3 and KS4 and will be able to demonstrate your ability to lead others and impact areas that you have been responsible for.
