The Health Business Centre (HBC) is an integral and key element of the Suffolk 0-19 Healthy Child Service, and its function is to support the delivery of the Health Visiting and School Nursing services to children and young people across Suffolk, ensuring that families receive a seamless, efficient and timely response. It is also the single point of contact for all clients, staff and stakeholders.
Your role and responsibilities
- receiving and processing confidential digital information from our NHS Partners to update individual client records, together with providing essential services to the wider teams and Clinical Administrative staff within the Healthy Child Service. This role involves supporting colleagues in a range of business procedures together with providing guidance and information for a variety of queries
- be meticulous in handling sensitive and confidential data, adhering to Suffolk County Council policy at all times
- be proactive in your approach to develop expertise in a range of IT software and Microsoft packages
- take responsibility for the effective delivery of your own workload and completion of your individual tasks and those of the Team. There are a number of priority tasks to complete within challenging timescales.
You will need
- good working IT skills to work across a range of software i.e Microsoft packages, SystmOne and Oracle Fusion.
- excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload
- proficient keyboard and data entry skills are essential
- a solution focused skill set with a good level of initiative and excellent problem-solving skills.

Our team’s purpose is to support the clinical teams in the delivery of Healthy Child Programme. We value teamwork, a solution focused approach and positive working relationships.
You will receive a full induction into the HBC, management supervision and ongoing development to support you in this role, with unique opportunities to explore additional tasks provided to the Healthy Child Service by the Health Business Centre Teams.
