Senior Software Developer
We are looking for strong Linux systems engineers to join a team building a new container runtime that will host critical, high-performance OCI services.
As part of a larger, multi-team project, we are improving the platform for running Oracle Cloud services. This improved platform will allow us to improve operations, scaling, and developer experience. As part of the platform, we`re building a new container runtime that will allow us to run the full variety of OCI services, including our most demanding, high-performance, high-availability services. If you`re skilled with Linux systems programming, containers, or C/C++ development, we`d love to talk to you/!
We are looking for self-motivated engineers with passion and expertise in solving challenging system and performance problems. You should be a rock-solid developer able to dive deep into complex systems to understand them. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.

Responsibilities
With your superb technical, research and analytical capabilities and demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively to delight our customers, you will collaborate across teams to make critical improvements to help us take OCI to the next level.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
