If you have an eye for attention to detail and enjoy cleaning, you could be perfect for this career. Why not join one of our many teams of cleaners in Schools or Nurseries? We have casual cleaner vacancies to join our teams in Cupar and St Andrews. Casual staff can be asked to work any day of the week covering for annual leave and absence as required however hours will mainly be between 3pm – 8pm, Monday to Friday.
You will earn a competitive rate of pay and have access to a range of benefits, including:
- We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £12.00 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
- Pay is every 4 weeks in arrears for casual posts.

- Casual staff receive payments in lieu of annual leave for hours worked.
This work is about ensuring pupils and staff can work in a clean and safe environment every day. You will go home each day knowing you have made a difference. No previous experience is required as on the job training is given, working towards The Cleaning Operatives Proficiency Certificate.
The Person
You will be required to attend Induction Training before starting in post.
Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
