Euroclear Finland is seeking a dynamic and motivated Compliance & Ethics Officer to join our dedicated Compliance & Ethics team in Helsinki for a fixed term until February 2026. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively on a variety of critical tasks and topics essential to our Financial Market Infrastructure.

You will participate in improving and further developing the Compliance & Ethics function at Euroclear Finland in line with internal and regulatory expectations. 

 

You will report directly to our Chief Compliance Officer of Euroclear Finland, Krista Willman. She has a special message for prospective candidates:

Your responsibilities

You are expected to be facilitating compliance processes and procedures both independently and as part of the team. Your tasks will include among other things, drafting procedures, managing and coordinating operational compliance processes, and advising and supporting 1st Line of defense in their different business initiatives.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have an open attitude for developing yourself and learning new. You have a true interest and motivation to become a part of a professional compliance team in a regulated and changing environment. 

 

The ideal combination of experiences, skills and background is

  • Relevant education (e.g. university degree in law, economics or similar)
  • A few years of relevant work experience (e.g. within the field of compliance, risk management or legal, or generally in the financial sector)
  • Ability to read and understand regulatory requirements (EU and local)
  • High integrity and ability to look at things objectively
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work with multiple issues within tight deadlines while still ensuring quality
  • Eye on details and precision without forgetting “the big picture”
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of the team 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills both in Finnish and English
  • Ability to work in a fast pace international and multicultural environment
  • Working experience from the financial sector and technical content knowledge on any of the following key compliance topics e.g. AML/KYC, sanctions, personal data protection, fraud and market abuse, is seen as an asset. 

We are looking for a person who is motivated to learn and grow in the team, or perhaps has already gained some years of relevant working experience.
