The Commercial Procurement Specialist – Europe is in the lead of all activities related to Procurement in new customer bids and launches with E2E responsibility from the moment a new customer bid arrives to the implementation of the project. You will be fully involved in operational/tactical business decisions and lead projects that are about making sure our company is bringing new market innovations to the customer and develop the right solutions. Your primary focus will be on capex projects and contract Logistics growth in Germany & Europe.

How you will contribute

• Serve as primary liaison to (internal) customers and provide recommendations for improved processes.
• Improve and create processes, drive decisions, and influence change making use of negotiation skills, analytical skills, and resourcefulness.
• Make sure the safety, availability, reliability, quality, total cost of ownership, sustainability, and security in supplier and contractor deliveries are met.
• Responsible for leading change, managing and monitoring on progress, critical actions and metrics/KPIs and quickly become hands-on if things derail.
• Establish excellent two-way communication with project team, ensuring it is a team effort. 
• Provide direction and feedback to all (cross-functional) team members and assist them in issue resolution. 
• Develop new processes as necessary to ensure mission critical projects are completed. 
• Provide expertise in identifying appropriate methodologies for large-scale projects. 
• Leads or participates in business process redesign teams.
• Analyze and validate contracts and agreements and communicate appropriately with Legal Department for full approval.
• Generate and maintain accurate records according to established procedures for quotes, cost estimates, items, tooling, purchase orders, supplier performance, and spend analysis, etc.

What you will bring

• 3 Years + Experience in Procurement with preferred project related Procurement.
• Eager to develop in Project Management and Supplier Management.
• Fluently in German and English languages (any additional language will be considered as a plus).
• Analytical, fact based, strong conceptual skills and able to make solid business cases.
• A strong ability to structure, organize several activities and initiatives.
• Ability to negotiate as an agent on the company’s behalf, ensuring the company is represented in the best possible way.
• Ability to work well in complex cross-functional teams that include internal and external customers, and suppliers.
• Able to complete Tactical/Operational actions and initiatives in a timely manner while adhering to project budgets.
• Ability to travel to sites for start-up initiatives and to train and work with site purchasing professionals.
• In this role there is a travel component of 25%.
