As a Financial Analyst, you will join a team responsible for the overall financial and operational vitality and success of all Delaware Valley operations. Your responsibilities include assisting in developing annual capital and operating budgets and ensuring leadership have access to quality and timely operational and financial information.  You will also help improve financial and general data literacy throughout the Delaware Valley.  You should:

 

• Have an understanding of financial accounting concepts.  You’re comfortable working with financial data and can explain basic financial accounting concepts to others. 
• Be flexible and adaptable.  You understand that the health care industry is continually changing as are the needs of the business, and you are willing to do whatever it takes to meet those needs.  Rather than be directed or asked to meet the needs of the business, you are internally motivated to initiate finding and implementing solutions to help improve Nemours’ financial and operational success. 
• Be collaborative.  Relationships matter to you, and you understand how to partner with others.  You know how to communicate effectively, and you’re just as comfortable delivering good news as you are asking probing questions and having difficult conversations.
• Be data-driven and data literate.  You know how to access the right tools to efficiently get data and can effectively use data to drive your decision-making.  You are able to explain data and any relevant concepts to Nemours Associates in order to influence decision-making.

• Be accountable.  You are self-directed, hold yourself responsible for the financial and operational performance of the organization, and understand how your actions directly contribute to the financial and operational success of the organization.

• Analyze, interpret, and provide data driven suggestions based on benchmarks.

Bachelor`s Degree required

1-3 years related experience required
